The Bachelorette

Season 21

Contestants

By: Amanda Gass (under title)

This list is about some of the contestants of The Bachelorette Season 21 - Jenn’s season. There are spoilers. Disclaimer: If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s not my problem! It’s been over for weeks!

Grant, 30

Day Trader, Houston, TX

As soon as Grant showed up I knew he would be the next The Bachelor, as he is the most attractive with no dramatics. Nothing too memorable to write about him, just that he’s hot. I wish him the best. B

Hakeem, 29

Medical Device Salesman, Schaumburg, IL

I always keep a little piece of my heart for the guy from my hometown, and by that I mean the continent who lives closest to me. Living 1.5 hours away from me is Hakeem. He’s sweet, quirky cute, and showed up the first night as the Up! house. Didn’t stand a chance, though! Let’s hope he finds someone in Bachelor in Paradise (he was invited). C

Sam M., 27

Contractor, Myrtle Beach, SC

When you sign up to be a contestant on The Bachelorette, it’s before they reveal who the next The Bachelorette is. Daisy from The Bachelor Season 28 was a fan favorite from the get-go, but she didn’t want that title. And it was so obvious that Sam M. was hoping to see her. Sam, while having a nice body and decent hair, really proved to Jenn what a world-class fame whore he is. Jenn just wanted to know what he sees in her. His response? It was a whole bunch of nonsense, repeating Jenn’s “ferocious love” saying during his camera time, and the cherry on the top: the fake “I love you” at the end of his ramblings. Jenn is smart, and she kicked him to the curb. F

Devin, 28

Freight Company Owner, Houston, TX

This Great Value Pete Davidson has been my favorite this season. He seems so genuine. He knows what to say, and the other guys seem jealous of him. I was going to go on and on about him, but then I saw the finale. I’ll discuss this in my ending thoughts of the season. F-

Jonathan, 27

Creative Director, Los Angeles

This guy came in wearing a hospital gown and a fully bandaged face. That’s it. Nothing else. That was a ballsy move - points for that. However, no points for not expressing his feelings soon enough. Poor guy. He did get the first ticket to Bachelor in Paradise (I cannot wait for that shitshow to come back on), so good for him. I also wish him the best. B-

Marcus, 32

Army Ranger Veteran, Raleigh, NC

Marcus seems to have it all. He’s handsome, built, and very kind. I see why he went so far. He also opened up about a very traumatic childhood experience, which I commend him for. I get you have to open up to The Bachelorette, but you’re also opening up to like a bazillion people. What cost him is that he couldn’t tell Jenn that he loved her, too. I get this, too - you only get so much time to date The Bachelorette with numerous other guys, but that’s going to cost you the final rose. C+

Season Ending Thoughts

I know everyone was rooting for Daisy to be the next The Bachelorette, but too bad! Jenn has plenty to offer, too! She’s adventurous, insanely pretty, and her wardrobe is fabulous. I love the beaded dress she was wearing when she told Sam M. to kick rocks.

The cruelest thing I’ve witnessed in love reality show history happened to Jenn. We find out that Devin was the one, but after the show, it went to shit. Well, he’s shit. But to make Jenn sit on that Bachelor Nation stage and rewatch her proposing to Devin? Mind you seeing a picture in picture of her crying? Damn! I wish her the best on Dancing with the Stars, although I won’t be watching. Also, I heard a rumor she’s been hanging out with Jonathan. Good for you, sweetie! Good for you!
